GreyTraveller is not a commercial portal site, does not take payments "per click" and does not accept paid advertising. It's opinions are strictly it's own - and those of its contributors.

Any travel oriented site, commercial or non-commercial, may have one or more links at what we think are appropriate points on the site. The only exceptions to this are commercial portal sites, which seem to add little or no value to the web, and if anything, merely reduce the pleasure of search out new information!

If you have an interesting travel story or report which you would like to share with other readers, please write to the editor. Please don't send any attachments without first sending a text-only email, with no attachments, to briefly outline what you would like to do.

We aim to reply to all mail within 4 days.

GreyTraveller is produced by spectrum communications which is a small (two person!) video-making and communication business run by Chris Gosling. It is intended to be “not for profit”, although it would be nice to cover the cost of hosting and operation at some time.

It has no links whatsoever with the UK or other travel trade , and receives no funding or sponsorship from any such organisation. Most of the services it now offers and will offer in the future to users and others will be free.

If you feel that you would like to be involved with the site, your input is welcome. We can’t promise to implement all changes suggested, but will do the best we can to take up good ideas.
